How to Watch NCAA Conference Championships

April 3, 2025
Conference championship season is underway with this weekends' Big Ten Championships, ECAC Championships, and the MPSF Championships.
Friday, April 4: Big Ten Championships Night 1 (Team & AA Finals)
Where: Ann Arbor, MI
When: 7 pm ET
Illinois, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Penn State are traveling to Michigan for Big Ten Championships this weekend. Night 1 will be the Team and All-Around finals with night two being event finals.
Going into this weekend, Michigan is ranked no. 1 in the Big Ten, but competition will be tight, as Michigan shared the regular season title with Penn State. Nebraska is right on their heels in four-score-average and high score for the season and has a higher overall average team score. In general, amongst these teams, there’s very little margin of error to make it onto the podium.
The new 4-up 4-count team line up has made it more difficult to field multiple all-arounders. Should Michigan choose to field Frederick Richard and Paul Juda they will each be contenders for the all-around title. Others who are favorites for the podium include Nebraska's Taylor Christopulos who recently posted the second-highest all-around score at the DTB Cup, Drake Andrews and Kameron Nelson of Ohio State, and Ian Sandoval of Illinois.
Night 1 will also serve as the event finals qualifier for the meet.

Saturday, April 5: Big Ten Championships Night 2 (Event Finals)
Where: Ann Arbor, MI
When: 7 pm ET
Event finals will kick off on April 5th at 7. There are some phenomenal athletes on all apparatuses at each of the Big Ten programs that are expected to compete for the title.
Floor: Kam Nelson (OSU) and Charlie Larson (Michigan) are leaders in the fight for the title. However, Nebraska standouts Chase Mondi and Taylor Christopulos are not to be overlooked. Additionally, Michigan's Frederick Richard made the floor final at the 2023 World Championships and is certainly one to watch.
Pommel horse: Brandon Dang (Illinois) and Parker Thackston (OSU) are clear frontrunners.
Rings: Chris Hiser (Nebraska) has a good lead, but his teammate Yanni Chronopoulos could certainly capitalize if Hiser falters. Matthew Underhill of Penn State has also broken the 14 barrier this year and is a favorite for the podium.
Vault: Depending on the metrics, you could find a lead on vault for either Kam Nelson, Garrett Schooley (Illinois), or Chase Mondi (Nebraska).
Parallel Bars: Frederick Richard (Michigan) is heavily favored to take this title. If he falters, Josh Karnes (Penn State) or Logan McKeown (Michigan) could capitalize and take it.
High Bar: Frederick Richard is heavily favored to win this title as well. Josh Karnes and Taylor Christopulos (Nebraska) are next in line if something unexpected happens.

Saturday, April 5: ECAC Championships
Where: Indianola, Iowa
When: 1 pm CT
Army, Greenville, Navy, Springfield College, William & Mary and Simpson will be competing in the ECAC Championships at Simpson this Saturday at 1pm CT.
Navy is heavily favored to continue its six year conference winning streak , but it’s worth noting that William & Mary’s four-score-average is only two points behind Navy. The new competition format is unforgiving and should Navy falter, there's room to break their impressive streak.
In addition to the team title, individuals will be competing. Below are some frontrunners for each of the events.
All Around: Brian Solomon (Navy) leads the pack by all metrics. Luke Tully (W&M) and Kaleb Palacio (Springfield) are next in line.
Floor: William & Mary’s Evan Wilkins is the favorite here.
Pommel Horse: Army’s Maddox Pabellon is likely to win this title.
Rings: This should be a good competition between Isaiah Drake (Navy) and Brian Rollison (Simpson).
Vault: This field is relatively open, with many vaulters performing similarly (as tends to happen on vault). Connor Barrow (W&M) has the highest scoring vault in the conference (14.5). Braxton Jones (Army) has the highest average and 4-score-average. There are five to ten vaulters after Jones and Barrow within three tenths of a point on each of those metrics.
Parallel Bars: Conor Heary (Army) is the leader of the pack here, but Jaxon Clapper (Greenville) has a shot depending on Heary’s performance.
High Bar: Matthew Petros (Navy), Isaiah Drake, and Luke Tully are all in contention for the title, with Petros and Drake ahead by a small enough margin that Tully could capitalize on any deductions.

Saturday, April 5: ECAC Championships
Where: Colorado Springs, CO
When: 4 pm MT
And finally, Cal, Oklahoma, and Stanford are traveling to Air Force for the MPSF championship! As for the team title, Oklahoma has been the frontrunner all season, but it’s impossible to count Stanford out. As with the other championships, there will be individual titles awarded. Looking ahead to those titles, below are some possible athletes to look out for.
