Heading into Week 5 of the NCAA season, Oklahoma still leads the pack as the number one ranked team. Illinois is currently ranked second, with Stanford close behind. Already, this has been a season full of unexpected and exciting performances across all events. Let’s take a look at what we can look forward to this weekend.

Saturday, February 8: William & Mary @ Army (1 pm ET)

Kicking off the weekend, William & Mary will be traveling to take on Army. Though Army is the favorite to win this one, keep an eye on William & Mary’s vault rotation, which is their best shot to gain some traction here.

Saturday, February 8: Illinois @ Michigan (2 pm ET)

Michigan Athletics

Michigan is hosting Illinois this weekend. Illinois’ Sam Phillips will be out with an injury, so this will be a time to see the depth options Illinois has, as he was a contributor on all six apparatuses. Additionally, we’re starting to see more depth (and difficulty in routines) come out in Michigan’s lineups as the season progresses. All in all, we may be looking at two very different teams than what we’ve seen so far.

Saturday, February 8: Cal @ Air Force

Next up, Cal will be traveling to Air Force. These teams are ranked 10th and 11th respectively, with Cal just barely edging out Air Force’s highest team score this season. Not only will it be a close match-up, it will be yet another great opportunity to see two incredible pommel-workers in action with Air Force and 2024 Olympic Alternate Patty Hoopes and Cal’s Aidan Li.

Saturday, February 8: Greenville & Stanford @ Oklahoma

Oklahoma is hosting this weekend’s only tri-meet with Greenville and Stanford. Stanford is looking to defend their NCAA title this year and Oklahoma is hoping to get back on top, but don’t miss out on Greenville, who have shown steady improvement throughout the entire season so far.

Saturday, February 8: Penn State @ Ohio State

Finally, the weekend will finish off with Penn State at Ohio State, ranked 6th and 5th respectively. While they have complementary strengths generally, the teams are pretty evenly matched on Floor and Parallel Bars. A particularly good rotation on either event may just decide the meet.
