Illinois beat Michigan by winning four of the six event titles plus the all-around. Michigan made a big push in the last third of the meet on parallel bars and high bar but utlimately it wasn't enough. Still, there were some highlights for the Wolverines. Logan Mckeown and Robert Noll took the parallel bar and high bar titles respectively. Minnesota transfer, Charlie Larson, made his long-awaited debut and placed second on floor, meaning he will be able to petition to winter cup. Sadly, Michigan suffered an injury in one of their veterans, Landen Blixt. The extent of his injury is unknown.
The star of the meet was Nebraska transfer, Sam Phillips. Phillips won the all-around and still rings titles. He also earned an automatic birth to Winter Cup alongside Oklahoma commit, Sasha Bogonosiuk.

Stanford just edged Oklahoma in a close battle at the Rocky Mountain Open. These two powerhouse traded the lead over the course of the meet with OU leading in the fifth round. Erich Upton claimed the program's first Rocky Mountain Open all-around title in the open-ended scoring system while Patty Hoopes claimed the program's first RMO pommel horse title since 2011. Nebraska put up several strong performances to finish third. Chase Mondi was light's out on floor tying OU's Brigham Frentheway for the floor title. The Cornhusker's Taylor Christopulos took the high bar title with a 14.1 marking the highest score in the nation this week. Simpson rounded out the meet to end five of five teams after improving their score almost four points since last week!
Erich Upton automatically earned a birth to Winter Cup. Stanford commit Jun Iwai and Nebraska gymnast, Alex Nitache tied for second. The Winter Cup procedures do not currently have a tie break procedure. It's unclear if they will both qualify.
